| The Over-Head-View or OHV is toggled on/off
with the OHV button on the tool bar or from the view menu.
The OHV has its own tool bar to toggle the height-maps (1
thru 4) on/off for the landscapes, toggle the grid on/off,
lock the camera to the center or follow player and for
zooming in/out of the region space. During movement or edit
targeting, as shown in this image, a green line will connect
between the player position and the point being targeted on
the landscape or mesh. |
 |
At the
base of the OHV there are several buttons, a set for quickly
changing your view direction, layer selection and region
selection. The layer and region buttons have several modes,
the active layer and region are shown with a green border
(the central layer and center region are selected by default
for a new project). A region can be turned on/off, made
active or created for the first time. The editor will
automatically check for the existence of a region before
asking you to create a new one.
This image shows the center region surrounded by its eight
neighbor regions at a zoom level of 40% of our OHV camera
distance. |
