The Collector

Patch 9

This patch takes the game to a new level of play and performance, fixing many data packet errors and removing several local data tables and using streams instead. Memory issues have been greatly reduced and extra features and options have been added.

The game has two distinct versions:

Regular STALKER
The level you choose takes a different meaning in NS than it did in SHOC. You are setting a point level between 200 and 400, with 600 needed for special suits and weapons. This controls the difficulty manager for multi-player gamming allowing the server to 'step you back' on death to make gameplay easier for novices. This has been modified so that the death manager part does not happen in single player modes.
Gameplay is the vanilla SHOC plus NS, upon final completion, after credits, you will return as The Collector but completed NS gameplay will be remembered and new quests will kick in.

The Collector
You return from the North, some how thrown there by a teleport in the NPP. You have a reputation now, some good/some bad, it is a good idea to watch your back.
You are well equiped with good armor, excellent weapons, cool gadgets and lots of music including ZONE radio via your PDA, not bad EH Marked One!?

Oh... watch your back as you are being hunted...

AS THE ZONE GROWS
Fixes to the STALKER gameplay will continue but The Collector will also start to expand accross the rest of the ZONE with first efforts being Backwater (Zaton) as it is already becomming part of the new gameplay.

In the next few weeks we will fill this page with more detailed information on the creatures that roam here and talk about the actual techniques used in our modders pages.
